Book Donations

The library accepts donations of books, CDs, DVDs, and other items for the book sale. We do not accept textbooks, encyclopedia sets, or items that are moldy, musty or in disrepair. Please read our Book Donation Guidelines before donating items to the library. Due to our limited storage space, we ask that you bring only one or two bags/boxes of books at a time.

We ask that all donations be brought to the Circulation Desk in the main lobby of the library during regular operating hours. Please do not leave donations in the book drop. Receipts for donations are available upon request.

Remember the Golden Rule when donating used books: Would I buy this myself or give it to a friend?

Puzzle Swap

The library hosts two puzzle swaps per year, typically in the spring and fall. All puzzle swaps will be listed on our calendar at events.ptlibrary.org.

During the designated drop-off days, bring your puzzles to the library. Make sure they are in their original box, in good condition, and have all of their pieces. You will receive Puzzle Swap Tickets for your puzzles that you can redeem for new-to-you puzzles on the pick-up day!

We also welcome donations of puzzles year-round to include in the Open Book Store.
