Maddy’s disease is as rare as it is famous. Basically, she’s allergic to the world. She has not left her house in 17 years. The only people she ever sees are her mom and her nurse, Carla.
But then one day, a moving truck arrives next door. Maddy looks out the window and sees him. He’s tall, lean and wearing all black—black T-shirt, black jeans, black sneakers, and a black knit cap that covers his hair completely. He catches her looking and stares at her. She stares right back. His name is Olly.
Maybe she can’t predict the future, but Maddy knows some things. For example, she is certainly going to fall in love with Olly. And it’s almost certainly going to be a disaster.
