In 2017, the Youth Services Department started Scarlett's Sunshine Section. This section is a special area of our library that offers resources for children and families who are coping with loss. We started the section in honor and memory of Scarlett Pauley, who brought sunshine into the lives of everyone who knew her.
We believe it is important to read daily to children as soon as they are born, so we encourage all little ones to participate in our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten challenge. We are honored to partner with author Jackie Urbanovic for this program. Each child that completes the challenge will receive a special book autographed by Jackie!
