Book Club for Book Clubs

BC4BC2

The Foundation hosts a yearly "Book Club for Book Clubs" program that brings together members of community book clubs to talk and share ideas.  Library staff brings the clubs up-to-date on the many resources available online and through the library.

Community Book Club Wall

To foster the sharing of ideas and great book titles, The  Foundation created the Community Book Club wall. Located on the 1st floor near the elevator, you can find a list of local area book clubs and their reading choices.

In-House Resources

The library maintains a collection of past library book club selections on the 2nd floor. Multiple copies are available for book clubs to check out. We also offer books to help with book group planning, selection guides, and discussion starters.

"Our book club has been meeting for 13 years. Because we’ve kept our group small in number we have made some trips, some book related such as taking the train to Chicago for the weekend where we toured the Frank Lloyd Wright home and studio after reading Loving Frank, visiting the Johnstown Flood Museum after reading The Johnstown Girls, and touring the Lemoyne House after reading His Promised Land.  Some non-book related trips we've taken include visiting the Flight 93 Memorial, Little Lake Theater, Nemacolin Castle, Phipps Conservatory, and Longwood Gardens. And of course we’ve attended the Peters Township Library Foundation’s November author series."
